About Us

Built in 1857, The Athenĉum is a fine grade II listed building at the heart of the historic market town of Warminster.

The Athenĉum has a long and colourful history of use from a literary institution, to a cinema and now a vibrant centre for the community. It plays host to a diverse range of community groups, classes and activities within its many rooms.

The ground floor rooms and auditorium are accessible to wheelchair users.
On the first floor, the bar and main function room are accessible to wheelchair users by way of the lift.
There is currently no wheelchair access to the Ante room, the Balcony or the Pratten Hall.
The auditorium has a loop system for the hard of hearing.

The Centre is held in Trust by and for the people of Warminster and is operated by a dedicated team of volunteers.
