The Athenaeum Masqueraders are back with the classic musical Oliver!

From the 2018 NODA SW Best Musical nominated group who brought shows like 9 to 5 The Musical, The Addams Family and The Full Monty and Legally Blonde, The Athenaeum Masqueraders are celebrating their 20th anniversary during 2020 and to mark the occasion they are taking a step towards classical musical theatre with the "Ageless, timeless and matchless" – Sunday Express OLIVER! by Lionel Bart.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

This terrific piece of musical theatre is an adaptation of the classic Charles Dickins novel Oliver Twist following the story of the title character Oliver and his journey around Victorian England as an orphan. Starting his life in a Workhouse, Oliver travels to London and finds himself getting involved with a gang of pickpockets led by Fagin! When Oliver fails to successfully pick the pockets of Mr Brownlow who kindly takes him in, Oliver finds himself at risk hunted by Bill Sykes and Nancy who endeavour to get him back so that they can protect themselves, Fagin and the rest of the pickpocket gang from being exposed.

Featuring huge musical numbers such as Food, Glorious, Food!, Consider Yourself, Fine Life and As Long as He Needs Me by Lionel Bart, this is "A terrific show. A masterpiece – extraordinary, powerful and gritty.” – Mail on Sunday.

You can really consider yourself part of the Family with Oliver!
