ABOUT US
Built in 1857, The Athenaeum is a fine grade II listed building at the heart of the historic market town of Warminster. The Athenaeum has a long and colourful history of use from a literary institution, to a cinema and now a vibrant centre for the community.
The Centre is held in Trust by and for the people of Warminster and is operated by a dedicated team of volunteers. It plays host to a diverse range of community groups, classes and activities within its many rooms. The Victorian auditorium is used by several local drama and dance groups, schools and charities for shows and events.
The Athenaeum is situated on the High Street in Warminster, close to the town centre car park. The central bus station and railway station are within walking distance.

The rooms of the Centre are open throughout the day and evening for classes and community activities. For times contact the Information/box office.
The ground floor rooms and auditorium are accessible to wheelchair users. The auditorium has a loop system for the hard of hearing.
The Centre is a no smoking venue.
