Made by a local filmmaker, this documentary follows four friends as they undertake the Plymouth to Dakar Challenge in two old Mercedes vans, and arrange to transport prosthetic limbs for a Bristol based charity to a clinic for amputees in Gambia. Along the way they meet Saharawi ‘dissidents’ in the Western Sahara who expose their oppression during the thirty year conflict with Morocco. Struggling to get to their destination, the team join up with two adventurers in a fire engine and a crazy Frenchman while crossing the minefields in the Sahara Desert. The evening includes a Q&A session afterwards with the director.
