The Studio is an independent building situated behind the Athenaeum and offers a light and airy space ideal for children’s activities, classes, rehearsals, and parties. It has its own entrance off The Close, small reception, changing/waiting area, toilets and sink facilities. The main hall area has a mirrored wall, large windows, and lino flooring.
Although The Studio is on the ground floor access for wheelchairs is currently difficult due to a step.
Booking The Studio is by special arrangement, as permanent residents, Centre Stage Dance School, and other hirers, have priority of occupation at certain hours.

The wall fan heating is operated by a coin meter, located in the entrance. It is then controlled by a thermostat, located in the waiting area. Hirers need to bring some £1 coins for the meter, before heat is available to them.
The entrance lobby and toilets are heated by the Landlords heating system and no additional charges apply.
Lighting and hot water are provided as part of the hire charge.
